Best Paper Award
CSE Professors Antonia Zhai and Pen-Chung Yew, along with Venkatesan Packirisamy, Yangchun Luo, Wei-Lung Hung, and Tin-Fook Ngai received a best paper award at the 26th IEEE International Conference for Computer Design (ICCD).
ECE student Shuo Guo and CSE professors Tian He and Mohamed Mokbel win Best Paper Award
Electrical Engineering student Shuo Guo and CSE Assistant Professor Tian He won a best paper award at the fifth IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Systems (MASS 2008) for the paper "On Accurate and Efficient Statistical Counting in Sensor-Based Surveillance Systems" by Shuo Guo, Tian He, Mohamed Mokbel, John A.

CSE professors John Collins and Maria Gini, along with CSE alumnus Wolf Ketter (P.h.D. ‘07) at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, received a Best Paper Award for the paper entitled, "Flexible Decision Support in a Dynamic Business Network," at the Smart Business Network conference last week in Beijing, China.

A paper co-authored by CSE professor Pen-Chung Yew received a Best Paper Award at the 2007 International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP) held in China in September 2007. Yew worked on the paper with a group in the School of Software Engineering at Fudan University in Shanghai while on sabbatical in 2005-2006.
