DR. BONNIE BENNETT BECOMES CEO OF ADVENTIUM LABs
Minneapolis, MN – Adventium Labs, a new non-profit research and development lab located in Minneapolis has named Dr. Bonnie Holte Bennett as its Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Bennett was the founder and director of the Artificial Intelligence/High Performance and Parallel Computing Lab in the Graduate Programs in Software at the University of St. Thomas, where she has been on the faculty since 1987. Dr. Bennett has over twenty years of technology industry experience including roles as a Principal Research Scientist at Honeywell Labs, and most recently as the Director of Project Development at Object Partners, Inc., a Minneapolis-based computer consulting company focusing on java for e-commerce. She has consulted extensively for Fortune 100 companies including Pillsbury/General Mills, 3M, and Allied Signal, and has published over thirty papers and presentations at national and international research conferences.
Adventium Labs is a non-profit R7D lab focused on advanced software applications for complex systems, the human-system interaction, and the architectures needed to support the technologies. Adventium Labs’ charter includes scientific research, creation of intellectual property, and the publication and transfer of technology to generate value for its sponsors and to create high-tech jobs and companies in Minnesota.
Adventium Labs specializes in leading edge technologies in the areas of information technologies, cyber security, user centered design, automated reasoning, situation assessment, systems architecture, and communications. Adventium Labs has four main application areas:
- Condition Based Maintenance/Prognostics
- Independent Living
- Critical Infrastructure Protection/Homeland Defense
- Industrial Bio-Tech
