Poster Printer Instructions

  1. Convert your document to Adobe PDF, if not already.
    1. In Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) there should be an option to ‘Convert to Adobe PDF’. Take note of where it saves the pdf file, or put it somewhere that you will remember.
  2. Open the created PDF document, if it hasn’t opened automatically.
  3. Click on File in the menu bar.
  4. Click the Print option.
  5. Select the printer name Poster. (\\geta\Poster)
  6. If you do not have this printer then you will have to add a new printer.
  7. In the “Page Handling” area make sure that Page Scaling is set to “Fit to Printer Margins.”
  8. Click on properties
  9. Make sure Portrait is selected
  10. Click Advanced.
  11. Change the Paper Size option to ARCHD.
  12. Click Ok
  13. Go to the Page Layout TAB
  14. Put an (X) next to rotate (rotates to use more of the paper)
  15. Click ok
  16. Under Page Range select the number of pages, specific pages, or all pages to print.
  17. Click Ok to PRINT.
  18. The printer is located in room 5-225A and has faculty key access. Please talk to faculty to retrieve your poster.
