IT Labs User-Installed Windows Software
Some software is deployed through group policy as user-installed packages.
This allows students to install some software themselves on the Windows
machines without sending a request to Systems Staff.
Available Software
The software packages that are currently deployed using this method are:

- ADS 2008
- Ansoft HFSS 11.0
- Cadence SPB 16.01
- EES 8.186
- F-Chart 6.58
- FEHT 7.202
- Firefox 3.0.1
- JRE 6u7
- J2SE 1.4.2_13
- Mathematica 6.0
- Matlab 2008
- Pidgin 2.02
- Putty 0.60
- Xwin32 8.1
Installation Procedure
Here are the steps you need to follow to install the software:

Go to Control Panel → Add or Remove Programs →
Add New Programs.

At this point you will see a list of software that you can
install yourself.

Choose the software and select “Add”.

You will be prompted when the software has successfully installed.
