Best Paper Awards

CSE professor Stergios Roumeliotis wins Best Journal Paper Award

CSE professor Stergios Roumeliotis received a Best Journal Paper Award from the Robotics Society of Japan for a paper he co-wrote entitled, “Slip-Compensated Path Following for Planetary Exploration Rovers.”

Roumeliotis also received a Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS’ 06) held in Beijing in October 2006. He co-wrote the paper, “Multirobot SLAM with Unknown Initial Correspondence: The Robot Rendezvous Case,” with CSE Ph.D. student Xun (Sam) Zhou.
