ECE student Shuo Guo and CSE professors Tian He and Mohamed Mokbel win Best Paper Award

Electrical Engineering student Shuo Guo and CSE Assistant Professor Tian He won a best paper award at the fifth IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Systems (MASS 2008) for the paper "On Accurate and Efficient Statistical Counting in Sensor-Based Surveillance Systems" by Shuo Guo, Tian He, Mohamed Mokbel, John A. Stankovic, and Tarek F. Abdelzaher

IEEE MASS had a 13% acceptance rate for regular papers this year. Guo’s paper was selected from over 250 submitted. She was presented with a plaque and $500.
