12:45 – 1:45 pm:  Orientation with Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Loren Terveen and review of Handbook with Georganne Tolaas

1:45 – 2:30 pm:  “Ethics and the Computer Science Graduate Student” Prof. Chuck Swanson

2:30 – 2:40 pm:  Break

2:40 – 3:00 pm:  Janet Fransen, Librarian for Computer Science, University Libraries

3:00 – 3:30 pm:  “How to be a Graduate Student” Prof. John V. Carlis

3:30 – 5:30 pm:  Introduction of Computer Science Faculty

5:30 – 7:00 pm:  Picnic for new and returning graduate students, faculty and staff in the 2nd Floor commons area of the EE/CS Building. Pizza and pop will be provided.
