The CS&E department is proud to announce that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Assistant Professor Chad Myers a CAREER Award. Myers' grant is titled: Computational Tools for Fundamental Characterization and Inference of Genetic Interaction Networks.
Myers' research is in the development of computational methods for mining large-scale genetic interaction networks in yeast, developing predictive models of interaction networks within and across species, and software tools for analysis and visualization of interaction networks.
The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.
