Faculty, students, alumni and friends gathered for the dedication ceremony to name the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Building in honor of the University's 12th president, Kenneth H. Keller this week. The event took place Oct. 27, in Keller Hall. The Board of Regents voted to name the building after Keller in honor of his outstanding contributions to the University.
The speakers at Wednesday's event were former university president and chemical engineering professor Keller, U of M Board of Regents Chair Clyde Allen, University President Robert Bruininks, College of Science and Engineering Dean Steven Crouch and former chairman and CEO of ADC Telecommunications Charles Denny, Jr. who gave a humorous history of how the building came to be built.
