Professor Baoquan Chen and his graduate students were received the Best Application Paper award at the IEEE Visualization 2005 conference for their paper "High Dynamic Range Volume Visualization." The paper was coauthored by Xiaoru Yuan, Minh X. Nguyen, Baoquan Chen (CSE) and David Porter (LCSE). IEEE Visualization is the most prestigious conference in the visualization field and selects approximately 10 papers from the 84 proceeding papers for a special issue publication in the IEEE Transaction on Visualization and Computer Graphics. From these 10 papers, an award committee chaired by the papers chairs further selects two papers during the conference as the best resear and application papers.Please e-mail suggested news and event items to:
