Howland Awarded SIAM Travel Grant

March 5, 2002


Peg Howland has received a $500 award from the SIAM Student Travel Fund to attend the Second SIAM Conference on Data Mining, April 11-13, in Arlington, Virginia. Ms. Howland will also receive complimentary registration for the conference. She will present the paper "Extension of Discriminant Analysis based on the Generalized Singular Value Decomposition", which was written with her advisor, Haesun Park.
