CSE Department Head to help shape a dynamic new institute

CSE Department Head and William Norris Professor, Vipin Kumar, has been selected to serve on a new University advisory committee that will shape the Institute for the Advancement of Science and Technology. The appointment was announced this week.

Only five representatives from the Institute of Technology, each from different disciplines, were selected for the advisory group. The committee is intended to create plans to increase research collaborations and communication in engineering, scientific and medial fields. A report with recommendations is expected by spring 2007.
