The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) has named CSE Associate Department Head Maria Gini and CSE Professor Joe Konstan members of the initial class of 'ACM Distinguished Scientists.' This honor, announced Wednesday, was given to only 49 ACM members who met the specific award criteria and have made significant impacts in the fields of information technology and computing.
In a news release about the honor, ACM singled out the University of Minnesota as one of only two universities topping the list of award winners with two ACM Distinguished members. For more information visit, ACM Distinguished Members.
