Software engineering professionals and academics joined together on January 11 to discuss global development and best practices in software engineering at Code Freeze, an annual software engineering symposium put on by the University of Minnesota Software Engineering Center (UMSEC), part of the CSE department.

The event drew guests from industry and academia to the McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak Street S.E., for a day filled with speakers, workshops, tutorials, and networking opportunities, followed by a wine reception. Keynote speakers included Gary Kroc from IBM and Dr. Ginger Levin.
