The University’s Career Center for Science and Engineering (CCSE) is kicking off the spring semester with a slew of career fairs starting January 24 aimed at helping to connect students with prospective employers.On Wednesday, Jan. 24 and Thursday, Jan. 25 CCSE is hosting the IEEE Job and Internship Fair, sponsored by the Institute for Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE). The event will be held at the Great Hall in Coffman Memorial Union from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
There are also five career fairs planned for February, including: an Environmental Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 6, a Step Into Health Career Fair on Friday, Feb. 7, a U of M Job and Internship Fair on Monday, Feb. 12, a Learning Abroad Job Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and a Graduate and Professional student Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 22. A Non-Profit Career Fair and a Transportation Career Expo are both planned for Thursday, March 1 as well. See CSSE events for fair specifics.
In addition to hosting and promoting career fairs, CCSE also sets up on-campus interviews for students with employers, conducts mock interviews for practice, and publishes a Career & Job Search Guide. For more information about CCSE and what they are doing to help CSE students, visit CCSE.
