CSE graduate students drew a crowd last Friday at the Young Scientist Roundtable Science Night 2007 at Wayzata Central Middle School. The gathering, attended by more than 1,000 people, is intended to introduce young students to a myriad of science disciplines and encourage future study and interest in science. At the family event CSE graduate students Shana Watters, Scott Johnson, Matt Staats, Bridget Thomson McInnes, and perspective graduate student Gabriela Farias conducted demonstrations with the Sony AIBO robot dogs and talked to children about computer science.
Science Night was a special event put on by Wayzata’s Young Scientist Roundtable, a monthly program in which speakers give presentations to students followed by a roundtable discussion. For more information visit the Young Scientist Roundtable.
