CSE Professor Wei-Chung Hsu has been awarded the collegiate Charles E. Bowers Faculty Teaching Award for 2006-2007. The award honors IT professors who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to teaching.
Hsu joined the CSE department in 1999, after working for thirteen years at Cray Research and HP - giving students the benefit of his academic and industry expertise. An excerpt from his award nomination reads: “Over the past seven years, Professor Hsu's classroom teaching has been consistently rated very high in formal course evaluations by his students at all levels. Student evaluation comments praise him for his knowledge of the material, his organization and his genuine concern for the students.”
