Two CSE alumni grabbed the spotlight in a story today in The Minnesota Daily entitled, 'Former computer science students hit it big working at Google.' CSE alumni Uygar Oztekin (Ph.D. 2005) and current CSE doctoral candidate Levent Ertoz, both began working at Google as software engineers after finishing their academic work.
The story focuses on the pair’s experience working on Google’s search quality and on the company’s notorious employee amenities at its Mountain View, Calif. headquarters. Some employee perks include onsite cafes, recreation centers, and an oil change station.
