On September 26, renowned software developer and author Grady Booch will speak about software development at the University of Minnesota. The event is expected to draw a large crowd. Booch’s talk, entitled "The Promise, The Limits, and the Beauty of Software," will be held at the University’s St. Paul Student Center (SPSC) Theater. Based on current registration numbers, more than 250 attendees are expected for the talk.
Booch served as Chief Scientist at Rational Software Corporation since its founding and continues to serve in that capacity at IBM. He has numerous professional awards and designations, and is one of the original authors of the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
