CSE professor Riedl comments on social networking traffic decline in news story

A story in The Minnesota Daily highlighted the recent slump in online social networking traffic for sites such as Facebook and MySpace. CSE professor John Riedl, an expert in this area, commented in the story that the decline is due to unmet expectations about online social networking would offer. "One of the challenges with running one of these large social networking sites is you are always trying to figure out what it is that people want and then balancing that against how do you make money off it," he was quoted saying.
