Join us for the University of Minnesota’s Science & Technology Banquet, Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Hilton in Minneapolis. The banquet is the Institute of Technology’s annual networking event and scholarship fundraiser. Throughout the past four years, the event has raised more than $70,000 for student scholarships.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dean Kamen, an entrepreneur, inventor, and an advocate for science and technology. Kamen is the founder of the DEKA Research & Development Corporation and some of his notable inventions include: the first wearable insulin pump for people with diabetes, the HomeChoice™ portable peritoneal dialysis machine, and the Segway® Human Transporter.
Registration for the event is now open. To receive priority seating for the banquet, reserve your table(s) now and submit the guest list online before the April 16 deadline. For more information, call (612) 626-1802 or e-mail stbanquet@umn.edu.
