The Institute of Technology Student Board (ITSB) named CSE Teaching Faculty Member Chris Dovolis winner of the Institute of Technology’s 2008 Best Professor Award. The ITSB selects a recipient for this award from each IT department every spring. Selection is based on a student poll.

Dovolis has a background in local area networks and high performance computing. His main interests include programming languages and computer science teaching methods. In addition to teaching, Dovolis is active in advising upper division computer science students and conducting freshman orientation and lower division advising for Institute of Technology students.

This is the fifth Best Professor award for Dovolis, one of the department’s repeat winners regularly recognized for the quality of his teaching and commitment to students. Other CSE repeat winners include Carl Sturtivant and John Carlis.
