CS&E Associate Department Head Joe Konstan has been nominated to run for ACM President.
With more than 92,000 members, ACM is the world’s largest professional society in computing. ACM supports the profession of computing through journals, conferences, professional development, and its Digital Library. ACM also provides curriculum and outreach efforts to improve the image of computing.
Professor Konstan is a fellow of ACM and he is currently serving on the ACM Council. Previously, Konstan has served as President of the 4500-member Special Interest Group on Computer Human Interaction (SIGCHI). He has also served as chair for the ACM SIG Governing Board and on the ACM Executive Committee.
