CS&E Associate Department Head Maria Gini is organizing MinneWIC 2010, a regional meeting of women in computing, to take place on February 12-13, 2010 in the EE/CS Building.
MinneWIC, the first upper midwest celebration of Women in Computing, will bring together high-school and college students, high-school teachers, faculty, and professionals interested in computing from across Minnesota and neighboring states to share experiences and strategies for success, inspire students, and discuss the role of women in today's computing field.
Details, including information on registering and contributing, are at MinneWIC 2010.
Thanks to generous sponsors, scholarships will cover hotel costs for outoftown attendees and subsidize the registration fee to make the meeting affordable.
