Aug 22 TA Update

I'm getting a lot of inquiries from new and returning students about the TA situation, so here is a recap:

First, almost all of the TA positions for Fall are filled. I've been working on the few remaining ones and hope to fill them early next week. If I need any further information from any applicant, want to interview anyone, etc. I will contact them by email.

Second, we have a number of PhD students still in the TA pool, so --- even if we need to look at more applicants for the currently open positions --- I do not think we will be considering any MS students.

Third, if for some unexpected reason we have trouble filling a position and need to identify more possible applicants, I'll post a note here.

Finally, any applicants who aren't given TA positions for Fall will be considered for Spring (when I start looking at the Spring TA offers in November) as long as they have filled in one of the online applications.
