TA Update 5/15

Due to the unclear financial situation for next year, there won't be a third "round" of TA offers. Instead, I'll make offers for positions on an as-needed basis starting now and continuing throughout the summer. What this means is that I'll be making only one or two offers in the near future, and then will make additional offers as positions open up due to either an improved budget outlook, or due to resignations.

I realize there is much concern over the TA situation for Fall, and am sorry the situation is not better. Unfortunately, the budget situation has left us with much less flexibility than usual. I do hope to be able to make a number of additional offers at some point. For example, we usually have about half a dozen resignations before the start of classes in the Fall. So I am hopeful that we'll be able to make a good number of additional offers over the summer.
