The third round of offers will go out later this afternoon or tomorrow morning. It will be a small round of offers.
Here's a summary of where we are at in the Fall 2010 TA offer process:
First, if you have a TA offer, I expect to make class assignments in late June.
Second, if you have accepted a TA offer, but will be switching to an RA, please let me know as soon as possible so I can make an offer to another student.
Third, if you do not have a TA offer, I will be reviewing the TA situation next week and see if I can make any more offers at this time. We have made about as many offers as we expect to have positions. I may be able to make a few more offers, but will need to look at the situation carefully. We are still only considering CS PhD students.
Finally, regardless of whether I can make any more offers next week, we usually have about a half dozen offers come up over the course of the summer and right before classes. I will fill these positions as they arise.
