Subhash Suri is with the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and currently serves as its Chair. Suri holds a PhD in computer science from the Johns Hopkins University. He was an associate professor at Washington Universityduring 1994-2000, and a Member of Technical Staff at Bellcore during 1987-1994. Suri has published more than 200 research articles in the areas of computational geometry, algorithms, networking, robotics, and databases. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, Army Research Labs, and DARPA. He is a Fellow of the ACM, IEEE, and AAAS.
