Abstract
When a company has offices in all parts of the world, what privacy and security issues should they think about as they design and implement companywide systems? The cardiac medical device industry also provides monitoring of patients with implanted devices. This talk will discuss some of the privacy and security issues if data is exported from the European Union to the United States.
Bio
Grace Wiechman is Security Manager with St. Jude Medical. She has worked in the medical device industry for 6+ years and was an Fellow R&D engineer working on security at a prior company. She has also been the privacy director at a local health care system and worked in the super computer field as an operating system development engineer. Grace has B.A. in computer science from the Univ of MN, is a member of the IEEE and holds certifications in security and privacy.
