The Department of Computer Science and Engineering will hold it's eighth biennial Open house on October 14, 2011. This half-day program will feature a keynote by Kerrie Holley, IBM Fellow, on Watson commercialization. Industry and research exhibits gave attendees a sneak peek into the latest research and technology.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering hosts a Technology Forum and Open House every two years. Exhibits highlight current departmental research group activities and state-of-the art demonstrations by members of industry. It provides a unique forum in which people from the industry, the government, and the University administration get to interact with faculty and students in the Computer Science & Engineering department. In addition to research exhibits, there is a keynote address and opportunities to network with researchers and local industry representatives. These provide an opportunity to get a glimpse of what the technology leaders are thinking about in their respective areas. The next Tech Forum and Open House will be in Fall 2011.
