Welcome to the web page of Dustin Wright

I am a computer science student at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. My areas of interest are in artificial intelligence and robotics.
I am looking for opportunities in the computer vision, AI and robotics fields.
You can look at my resume here (pdf). I can be reached by e-mail at wrig0055@tc.umn.edu
My current research involves studying the effect of communication on teams of mobile robots. I am looking at how different forms of communication effects performance on a search and retrieval task. Tests are being done in both simulation and on real robots. You can find more information about these robots here.
I have also done some robotics work in my classes at the University of Minnesota. In my introduction to robotics class I developed a wall follower and a soda-can collector using a PPRK. In my advanced computer vision class I created a simple soccer player using the PPRK and an overhead camera. In my advanced robotics class I used a Pioneer 1 to create a Kalman Filter based Simultaneous Mapping and Localization robot. Example videos of these projects can be found here. My team was chosen for the mapping robot video! My robots also appear in the other videos.
Thanks for stopping by.
