Alumnus Named RBS Dean’s Research Professor at Rutgers

Alumnus Dr. Hui Xiong has received the RBS Dean’s Research Professorship at Rutgers, where he is currently Professor and Vice Chair in the Management Science and Information Systems Department, as well as the Director of the Rutgers Center for Information Assurance.

The professorship supports select, outstanding faculty members at Rutgers Business School (RBS) with an aim to “facilitate student educational and research experiences with unbounded potential to launch the careers of future business leaders and to address the vast challenges facing business and industry in a complex world.”

Xiong was also appointed Program Chair for KDD 2018, which is the largest and most prestigious conference for researchers and practitioners from data science, data mining, knowledge discovery, large-scale data analytics, and big data.  The conference is organized through the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discover and Data Mining.  Details for the conference are to come.
