Papanikolopoulos Receives RAS Leadership Award
Professor Nikolaos Papanikolopoulos was honored with the George Saridis Leadership Award in Robotics and Automation from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ (IEEE) Robotics & Automation Society (RAS). The award recognizes outstanding contributions of an individual for his or her exceptional leadership, innovation and dedication that benefit the Robotics and Automation community.
The Robotics & Automation Society praised Papanikolopoulous “for his leadership, innovation, and dedication in RAS conference activities.
Only two Saridis Leadership awards are given out annually by the RAS. The award recipients receive a plaque and a check for $1,000, and are invited to an awards luncheon during IEEE’s International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2016). This year’s conference will be held in Stockholm, Sweden in May.
