CS&E Committed to Supporting Our International Community

Dear CS&E Friends, Colleagues, and Community:

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering would like to echo University of Minnesota leadership’s great concern for the hundreds of students and scholars from around the world adversely impacted by the recent executive order.

As President Eric W. Kaler said in his statement to the entire University of Minnesota community, “We remain steadfast in the commitment of our five campuses to welcome and support students, faculty, and staff from around the globe.”

CS&E would also like to remind our community that anyone affected by these recent actions has our full support and we will do what we can to help with this situation. Immigration and legal resources are available through International Student and Scholar Service and University Student Legal Service.

All members of our community are entitled to be treated with justice and dignity, and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering stands with you.

Sincerely,

Mats Heimdahl
