Ph.D. students Arvind Narayanan, Saurabh Verma, Eman Ramadan, and Pariya Babaie, along with their advisor Distinguished McKnight Professor Zhi-Li Zhang, were awarded the Best Paper Award at ACM SIGCOMM 2018 Workshop on Network Meets AI & ML (NetAI 2018). They were honored for their paper, "DeepCache: A Deep Learning Based Framework For Content Caching."

Their paper introduced DeepCache, a framework that uses neural network models and state-of-the-art machine learning tools to boost the performance of content caching, a process of temporarily storing files to reduce page load times and stress on servers when computing over networks.

The team was presented with the award during a ceremony at NetAI, which was co-located in Budapest with the annual ACM SIGCOMM’18 conference. To find out more about their research, read their paper on ACM’s Digital Library.

Please join CS&E in congratulating the entire team on receiving this award.
