The Computer Science and Engineering Department is seeking nominations for the John T. Riedl Memorial Graduate Teaching Assistant Award. Nominations can be submitted by individual students or groups of students. Be sure to include:

  • Who you are
  • The graduate teaching assistant's name
  • The CSci course and semester taken
  • A statement about why your nominee deserves recognition.

Email your nominating letter by Friday, April 14, 2017 to Prof. Nicholas Hopper (cscidugs@umn.edu) in PDF, MSWord, or plain text form, and with the subject "Riedl Graduate Teaching Assistant Award."

Before his untimely passing away in 2013, Professor John Riedl, himself a devoted, exceptional teacher, asked that funds contributed by his friends and colleagues be used to establish this memorial award.
