Since 1981, over 70 percent of Augsburg's Physics graduates have gone on to graduate or professional schools all across the nation, and nearly all have received full assistantship or fellowship support. One of our 1988 graduates won a highly competitive NSF Graduate Fellowship for study at Princeton University.
Augsburg graduates with either the master's degree or doctorate hold a diverse range of positions. Graduates since 1977 include: seismic analyst, Western Geophysical Company (Denver, Colo.); physicist, Los Alamos National Laboratory (Los Alamos, N. Mex.); assistant professor of physics, U.S. Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs, Colo.); space phsics researcher, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (Laurel, Md); health physicist, National Bueeau of Standards (Gaithersburg, Md.); electronics engineer, Intel Corporation (Sacramento, Calif.); and aerospace engineer, Honeywell Corporation (Minneapolis, Minn.).
